Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers introduce a new vintage white uniform that will be worn primarily at home (but also occasionally on the road). The shoulder patch reads in part, "EDM 1979," referring to the year the Oilers joined the NHL. While it's long known that the NHL does not recognize the WHA histories of the three surviving franchises, it would be nice if the Oilers at least acknowledged that part of their history (there isn't even a mention of it in the team's media guide).
